The Plano/Allen community and surrounding areas will gather this weekend in reverence to Honor the Fallen. The event will include a 5K, Kids Fun Run, and a 1-Mile Race.  Racers and their families are sure to enjoy the live music, activities, and great food. Race registration will also include a free screening at the Plano Centre of Code 9, a new documentary about making mental health a priority for all first responders and their families that challenges its viewers to take action.

“Our mission is to provide education, support and viable self-help tools to all Public Safety Personnel and their families for the purpose of managing, reducing and eventually eliminating the compressive stress effects, such as PTSD and suicide.”

-Code 9 Project
The Officers Down 5K serves to highlight all of the officers that have put their lives on the line daily to keep our communities safe, and to honor those who have fallen in the line of duty. All proceeds will go to support the Allen Police Association.
The festivities will take place at the Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve, 2801 Spring Creek, Plano, TX US 75074, starting around 5:30p on Friday and going through Saturday at 2p.  Come out and support this amazing group of individuals and their families, and show them that their sacrifice matters to each of us!
